For love of vanity,

I sacrificed my pride.

Threw away my identity,

and all that was real in life, I denied.

So eagerly I sought the external

beauty of lust.

Entrapped by the devil's will,

I was bought.

Crippled by fake fortune and fame,

in him did I put my trust.

Now that the pleasure has turned

into pain, all has been lost and noting gained.

The goodness in me I have defied,

all FOR THE LOVE OF VANITY.
